Les Prix Hugo (Hugo Awards) sont offerts chaque année pour les meilleurs œuvres ou accomplissement dans la science-fiction ou le fantasy de l'année précédente. Le nom Hugo provient de l'éditeur et écrivain Hugo Gernsback, fondateur du magazine Amazing Stories. Ces prix datent de 1955.

Doctor Who et Torchwood ont pu récolter ensemble 5 prix Hugo et 18 nominations jusqu'à présent dans la catégorie meilleur courte présentation dramatique. Jusqu'à présent, Steven Moffat, Russell T Davies et Phil Ford ont tous récolté au moins un prix Hugo.
