The Rani Elite est le cent-quatre-vingt-quatorzième épisode audio de Doctor Who produit par Big Finish Productions. Il s'agit du premier épisode produit par Big Finish à faire figurer la Rani, et les débuts de Siobhan Redmond dans ce rôle.

The Doctor’s here to receive an honorary degree in Moral Philosophy. But there’s something rotten at the heart of the Medical Facility. Someone is operating on the students. Someone without a conscience. Someone with access to a Sidelian Brain Scanner – a technology that hasn't been invented yet.
That someone is the ruthless Time Lord scientist known as the Rani – in her new incarnation. But will the Doctor and Peri recognise the Rani’s hand before her trap is sprung?

- Le Docteur mentionne la Deca, dont faisaient également partie Drax, Mortimus et Vansell, et appelle la Rani "Ushas".

- Big Finish avait discuté avec Kate O'Mara pour qu'elle reprenne le rôle de la Rani et elle avait accepté avant de décéder en 2014. Elle a cependant donné son accord pour que Big Finish reprenne le rôle avec une autre actrice.
- Il s'agit de la première apparition de la Rani dans un audio de Big Finish. Sa première apparition en audio remonte à The Rani Reaps the Whirlwind, un épisode produit par BBV Productions.
