The Sontaran Stratagem, in italiano Lo stratagemma di Sontaran, è il quarto episodio della quarta stagione di Doctor Who. È la prima comparsa dei Sontaran nella nuova serie, e di Martha Jones come ospite regolare.
Inoltre, l'attore Dan Starkey, poi meglio noto per la parte del Comandante Strax, amico del Dottore, ha il suo primo ruolo in Doctor Who in questo episodio, dove interpreta il Comandante Skorr. Avrà poi diversi ruoli sia nella serie che negli audio della Big Finish Productions negli anni che seguiranno.
